What a weekend for Boston!

Let’s start with the lesser news of the weekend. The Sox started a 3 game series with the Pittsburgh Pirates and surprisingly they swept the series. It’s still early in the MLB season and this team is mediocre at best but going on the road and preforming like they did is a bright spot for them early on.

The Bruins are in the news before game 1 for maybe losing on purpose the last 2 games to get the matchup they wanted in the Toronto Maple Leafs. You never want to do that and upset the sports Gods. You play to win the game. Yet, they did what they had to do and beat the Leafs 5-1. If game 1 is any indication on how this series will go, it will be a hard hitting physical series. Only news I didn’t like hearing after the game 1 victory is that Ulmark is penciled in for game 2 in net. Don’t fuck up a good thing!

The last game of the weekend saw the Celtics take down the Heat 114-94. Yes they won by 20, yes Jayson Tatum had a triple double, BUT this team took its foot off the gas in the 4th quarter. Something we have talked about all season about this team is not playing a complete game. We should sweep the Heat but use this as a way to build for future rounds. Get this team to play 4 complete quarters because if you don’t, the team waiting for you in the finals will and will take away banner 18.
