So you’re saying there’s a chance

The Patriots fucked up the off season thus far. But there is a path back. The Celtics refuse to let us feel good. Hey, it’s baseball season. A very serious PSA on Men’s health. A very not serious This or That with Chief Bobby. Ohtani is a gambling mule PLUS Rich is late

Welcome -

So you're saying there's a chance

Digging out of the pile of shit from the Patriots off season

* Tyrone Smith signs with Jets $6.5 Million guaranteed - $20 mill total

* Mike Williams signs with Jets. up to $15 million

ZERO smoke around Patriots being interested in these players

$50.6 million in cap space left. 3rd most in NFL

However, there is a path. They have a couple moves in their bag to salvage the off season.

  • Trade for a #1 WR. The latest rumor is trading the #3 pick to the Viking for the #11, #23, and Justin Jefferson. Ummm. Do it. Open the check book for JJ. It’s rediculous money for the next 3 -4 years. You have no big money commiments during that time. You’ll have a rookie QB contract and a guy who needs a stud to help his development. You can grab your QB at #11 and your LT at #23. Boom, you’re welcome.

  • For that to happen you need an aggressive draft landing multiple high end talent at QB, LT, and WR. They are going to have to goo 3 for 3 at these spots. If Justin Jefferson is one of them you’ve upped your odds. You desperately need better odds.

  • Pick up the remaining side pieces you need in FA. (CB2 or Free Safety or Play making LB would be nice) There are still names and players out there, specifically on the defensive side of the ball you can bring in to help you be competitive this year into the rebuild.

Miraculously, if the Patriots go 10 for 10 and their next moves, we could be looking at a relatively competitive team next year. It's just ridiculous and pisses me off that they have narrowed their margins of success to this. When all the evidence points it being completely necessary.

Draft Talk

Latest Rumors have the Patriots firm at stick at 3 taking Drake Maye

 Drake Maye -

Bad feet, slow decision maker, has to sit at least a year.

Big Arm. Throws over the middle.  Deceivingly athletic

However, Vikings trade rumor

Justin Jefferson, #11, #23  for the #3 pick

Justin Jefferson - (Tyreek hill contract 4 years $120 million.  $72 million guarantee.  Highest paid in the league) Big whoop. Pay JJ

#11 - Olu Fashunu OT - Penn state

#23 - Pennix Jr (Take your Pick at WR)

#34 - Ladd McConkey (Take your Pick at WR)

Do you take a next years 1st instead of JJ?

  - Can you get a good WR in a trade for your 3rd?

HEADLINES WITH THE OBVIOUS ONE

Celtics refuse to capitulate

Celtics defeat Bucks with out Giannis 122 - 119

Nearly blow 19 p lead in the 4th quarter again.

They refuse to give us any reason to fully believe in them.

We have a solution

 - Joe Mazzula has been banned from blocking players shots on the floor in what most are calling an Anti - Tool bag Rule.

It has unintentionally opened the door to getting the Celtics over the hump

  - Joe Mazzulla playing sneaky pete defense from the bench ultimately would give the Celtics an advantage BUT him coaching in the 4th quarter drives the odds of the Celtics winning way down.

SO, mid way through the 3rd quarter Mazzula needs to pick his spot and block an opposing player with the intention of getting ejected prior to the 4th quarter starting.

With Mazzula off the bench doing absolutely nothing, Sam Cassell can take this team home.

SIMPLEST MINDS OF THE WEEK

The Los Angeles Dodgers interpreter for Shohei Ohtani was fired Wednesday afternoon after questions surrounding at least $4.5 million in wire transfers sent from Ohtani's bank account to a bookmaking operation set off a series of events.

Just when we thought baseball was dead, the turn around and throw this in our laps.

Ippei Mizuhara, the longtime friend and interpreter for Ohtani, incurred the gambling debts to a Southern California bookmaking operation that is under federal investigation, multiple sources told ESPN. How he came to lose his job started with reporters asking questions about the wire transfers.

Why is this big news? Because there will be a huge investigation about what many would say is the face of the MLB right now to see if he was involved in the betting scandal. From all reports Mizuhara said he never bet on baseball but come on. You’re in the hole for 4.5 million you got to be going down all the avenues.

Would this be the biggest black eye in MLB history since the steroid problem in the late 90’s early 2000’s?

ESPN had reviewed bank information showing Ohtani's name on two $500,000 payments sent in September and October.

Everything that was paid off to these accounts was in Ohtani’s name.

Where do we stand for athletes betting? Obviously we don’t wan them fixing games but I could care less if Ohtani is betting on march madness.
