The NBA is in Trouble

The NBA gets roasted after the insulting All-Star weekend. Is it a bigger trend across the league? The Dynasty throw Drew Bledsoe under the bus and backs up over his cold dead body. Jerod Mayo and his gaggle of new coaches are vibing, the Red Sox are absolutely not vibing. They are mutinying. Simple Minds Saves Sports, but Rich doesn’t like The Chief’s tone. Shots fired and Almond Nipples. PLUS Big Gay Chief Bobby sucks.

THE NBA IS IN TROUBLE

NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND

- Jaylen Brown dunk contest

Im flip flopping, but toot toot.  shit was rigged. Brown sucked. Will super stars compete? Should they? does it matter?

-NBA ALL Star game ended with the highest point total in the history of the game with the East beating the West 211-186. Damian Lillard wins the games mvp award. Zero effort by any player in this game, the viral video that came out of this wasn’t a dunk or a contested 3 point shot but coming from Adam Silver after the game and saying, “To the Eastern Conference All-Stars: You scored the most points. Well…(huge pause) congratulations.” Clearly the commissioner is pissed about the product, and not just the game it’s self but also the skills portion of the weekend was a joke.

-Stephan A Smith on “First Take” had this to say "What transpired last night was an absolute travesty," Smith said. "No defense, no effort whatsoever. This is the ultimate indictment against the NBA stars who show up on NBA All-Star Weekend: You play harder in the Summer League when you're training. That's all anybody's asking ... You can give the fans at least that.”

Stephan A. Said the game as it is presently constructed is unfixable.

Former NBA players Kendrick Perkins and Austin Rivers also reacted to the game on  ESPN's "NBA Today."

“It was embarrassing and it was disrespectful to the game of basketball, to the NBA," Perkins said. "To be an NBA All-Star, it’s an honor!"

"Do you know how I would've felt if I made the All-Star game?" Perkins said.

He then pointed to one obvious solution: player incentives.

"Players wont say it publicly, but in order to move the needle, in order to get an All-Star game where they're actually competing, you know what's going to have to happen: the NBA is going to have to increase the incentives," Perkins said.

Perkins said that it's probably going to have to monetary incentive for the players, similar to the $500,000 prize that was given for the winners of the NBA's inaugural In-Season Tournament

    - FUCK THIS.  Incentives don't woke. You need the best players in your league to make it competitive. That's it.

The only good thing about all star weekend is the 3 point shooting contest. Because lets be honest, that’s what the NBA is now. When we were kids we wanted to be like Mike, dunking on friends when we lowered the hoop trying different ways to posterize your friends. Now kids want to be like Steph so they should glamorize just the contest alone.

Is the game fixable?

The NBA is in trouble

-The backlash from the LeBron’s player embowered NBA is rearing it’s head. From building super teams, to demanding trades to play with childhood friends the league is getting way out of hand. Lets start with that.

-The NBA is an iso game now, there is ZERO defense to speak of and the product is getting boring to watch and you don’t get to watch good basketball either at the collegiate level because they aren’t as good as the pros yet.

-How do you fix it?

-Money Money Money Money, these money grubbing whoooores, that’s all they want. If you want to have a more defensive presences in the NBA, have making the NBA all defensive team have incentives. You make the first team you make a million, 2nd team $750,000. These guys only show up when there is money on the line. I don’t think anyone cared about winning the inseason tournament, they just wanted the money for winning it.

    - NO.  Change the rules.  Allow physicality/ hand checking.  Dont award the flop.  CBA needs to award mid level players.

-When LeBron retires will that help change the philosophy of the league? Tatum has come out and said he doesn’t believe in rest days and also came out in an interview with the athletic he can be the face of the NBA when LeBron is gone. Do you think Tatum can save the NBA?

    - Lebron is an after thought.  His league is dwindling, but Adam Silver needs to realize that.

AFTERNOON DELIGHT

RED SOX MUTINY

-spring training is here and it looks like the Red Sox may have a mutiny on its hands. After last years winter weekend that blew up in ownerships face with fans booing them off the stage this year they thought taking phones away would solve the booing…..WRONG. The fan out rage is at an all time high in Boston since the ownership group refuses to spend money.

But now the players and coaches are getting involved. The first week when pitchers and catchers reported to Florida Alexa Cora was asked about the potential of him being here next year and didn’t give the typical answer instead said, “I don’t want to be doing this for 10 more seasons.”  He then said, “I read Guardiola’s book and he said that when you spend more than five or six years in one place. It can take a toll on you.”

If that wasn’t enough now you have your lone star player on the roster Rafael Devers (with his interpreter) said this Tuesday, “Everybody I this organization wants to win, but (Red Sox leadership) need to make an adjustment to help us players be in a better position to win.”

From the fans, to the manager and now the star player this is a huge Fuck you to John Henry and the Fenway Sports Group.

-There is no saving this team while the ownership group is here.

-Red Sox signing guys who are injured and won’t play the season. The only direction this team is going in is save as much money as possible.

-The ticket prices also went up this off season.
