BOTPODs Basement Bets: The Golden Corral will be the starting QB for the Patriots in 2024
Corral was waived by Carolina on Wednesday after just one season spent with the team. The Panthers spent a third-round pick on the former Mississippi standout in the 2022 draft, but he never saw any regular-season action due to a season-ending Lisfranc injury suffered in a preseason game his rookie season
Corral hasn’t even played an official regular season snap in the nfl and is now being groomed by Bill O’Brien who loves his work ethic. “It started last weekend when he got here,” O’Brien said, via NBCSportsBoston.com. “And it takes a lot of work between myself, [assistant QBs coach] Evan Rothstein, and then, obviously, Matt himself. Matt has been here morning, noon, and night and he’s doing a good job of learning. And, we just need to keep progressing him.
Bill and Mac don’t see eye to eye stemming from last year and we all know how Bill likes to be the smartest guy in the room. So why wouldn’t he do this with Matt Corral?
They had similar stats in college but Mac also had a Heisman trophy winning teammate and other studs at Alabama, Corral did not at Ole Miss (Bobby?)
