The Nerds have nearly completed their revenge
The attack on baseball and baseball players has been relentless from these dorks for decades now. They lied quiet in the dark corners of conference rooms with their computers and pocket protectors. Whispering in the ears of desperate personal folk. Slowly gaining control over Americas’ past time. Turning it into a series of 1’s and 0’s like they are reading the Matrix or more like they are playing some obscure PC game or whatever nerds do.
The 3 true outcome era of baseball may actually be the end of it. It is by far the most boring version of a game that loses market share year over year with youth kids. And that’s saying something for what is naturally a slower paced game. Home run, strike out, or walk. Those are your three true outcomes at the plate. Never mind “hit it where they aint”. Swing for the fences and if you strike out 200 times but hit 30 bombs it’s all good. Forget advancing runners or choking up. And don’t even talk to me about clutch and late.
And on the mound? Throw as hard as humanly possible from as early an age as you can pick up the baseball. And the more torque the better. This game is about spin rate and velocity. Remember when we were young and guys could throw, but couldn’t pitch? Exact opposite now. Remember we were told not to throw curveballs as little leaguers because it was common knowledge throwing a baseball fucks up your arm and a curveball elevates that damage to a still developing 12 year old kid? Not any more.
The nerds are successfully started to remove future ball players at the ages of 15 - 19 in the final stage of what I can only assume is a plan to replace everyone with robots.
Stop listening to the nerds. Listen to baseball players. Stop throwing. Start pitching. Swing straight. Aim for the gaps, power will come. Do not fucking strike out. Take the extra base. Hit and Run, bunt, throw inside, play baseball and do it fast. I don’t need to watch 3 hours of jackasses throwing 110 with 18 strikeouts on both sides and a couple 500 foot home runs with and exit velocity and launch angle of who gives a shit.
Baseball rant over.
